Cap Straps

I am a huge fan of these toe straps.  Not are they super comfortable bot oh yes, they are convertible! You can wear em classically on top of your foot or new school on the front of your toe.  Either way they are defitnitely the best and most secure bindings out there.

Movement System MVMT

This system is definitely nothing brand new, but it is somewhat new within the last few seasons; definitely enough time to have become a proven technology.

Well I just wanted to spend some time raving about this design. People complain all the time about aluminum bindings. They say that they don’t flex or that they aren’t shock absorbing enough. In many situations this is nothing short of the truth. However, the geniuses at Ride Snowboards made a aluminum binding that overcomes both of these issues.

Look at the image below. What you see here is the aluminum chassis or main body of the Ride Movement Series Bindings. The first thing that you notice is the massive amounts of metal missing in comparison to Ride’s traditional chassis.  The cut out metal is not for style. It was purposely engineered to maximize flex in the aluminum chassis without compromising strength and durability. And it works! In both riding and holding the binding in my hand, I could feel and see the binding flexing.

But there is a another benefit to removing metal. All that missing material provides area to place in dampening. And Ride Snowboards has done just that. When you pick up any of the bindings in the Ride Movement Series, you will see the massive amount of rubber inserts.

In the end, all of these bindings perform very well and hold up too. They do provide great flex and dampening in comparison to their solid brethren. This is an engineering marvel. This entire series gets a Buy Ride Snowboard stamp of approval!

The Ride Contraband

I have to admit that for months I had been skeptical of the Ride Contraband. I love new innovation, but the straps looked kind of chinsy. Well, my good friend bought a pair and loved them from the first day. He let me borrow them, and I started giving it the test through the park.

I like flexibility, but when I hit large booters I require that my bindings are stable and predictable. I mean who wants to launch an 80ft table with crappy bindings. Anyways, the Ride Contraband binding performed well. It gave me necessary support.

Afterward, I gave it the jib test. A+ I say. Super flexy high back gave me excellent control when doing tricks on the boxes and rails. There was absolutely no hinderence in style.

But of course, the big topic is whether or not the bindings are quick. In short, they were. I would put them on the same quickness level as flow snowboard bindings. They were easy to get in and out of of, but the the single ratchet made park riding a dream. This binding gets my BUY RIDE SNOWBOARD stamp of approval!

Whats your favorite ride snowboard?

This is a hard decision to make, but I give it a shot. Back in the day I had always had a Ride Timeless in quiver, but Ride put a stop to this guy. Still I am more of a freestyle lover. And in that light, it comes to a couple of boards from Ride Snowboards: The DH or the Society. I think I am going to call it right here. The Society is the best! High performance freestyle ride! The Ride Society is Ride Snowboards finest answer to freestyle.

With a name such as Ride Snowboards, why would you not Ride a Ride.  Its just basic common knowledge. Serously.  Well thats my knowledge for today!!

Ride forever

Quality boards. Great Price. That’s Ride Snowboards as I know it, and that is why I have been a fan of their snowboards for years. I have been killing it on boards lite the DH and the Timeless for years. In fact my very first board was a Ride snowboard, a very old Ride Snowboard. But my second board was a Ride DH, and it took me from a 180 to 720 within 3 years. The timeless took me through insane powders days and off my first 30 foot cliff. Gotta Love it. Ride forever.
